Integrated Risk Management & Mitigation Application
Our new Integrated Risk Management & Mitigation Application (IRMMA), developed by Atkins and American Mergers and Manufacturing International (AMMI), introduces the next generation of outage risk management. It uses GLASS to showcase a real-time outage and work management system by integrating plant data into a single, mobile platform, to monitor risk during the outage. It can also review safety system functionality during a refueling outage or take a vertical slice through an outage planning schedule to review pinch-points and develop mitigation strategies before implementation.
Watch the videos below for more information on IRMMA and how it works.
Why choose GLASS?
GLASS takes a simplified approach detailing a process or logic statement and makes it interactive. Below is a sample electrical diagram (initially black and white). Visualize a scenario in which breakers and pumps are failed resulting in dependency issues with other systems. As known failures are crossed out, additional losses occur. Success paths must be reviewed by qualified personnel. This method is difficult to review because of various recovery methods as well as the dependencies of some systems.
Once the same drawing has been incorporated into GLASS, the interactive diagram can easily be manipulated to understand equipment availability due to the same challenges. Equipment is automatically failed (red) due to a specific scenario or it is failed on-demand. Dependent equipment without direct power turns orange. A recovery action is credited (blue) to restore power. The available equipment with power turns green.
